South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezova is the largest and diversified university of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a scientific, educational, intellectual, cultural center of the region.
The university is training specialists for all sectors of the economy, science and culture of the region, republic and the world. South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezova is one of the brightest brands in the sphere of higher education in the republic. Last year, the university took an honorable third place in Kazakhstan in the overall rating and third place in the number of grants won.
Currently, more than 1,500 teachers are engaged in pedagogical activities at the university, of which 4 are academicians of the NAS of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 4 are academicians of the NIAN of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 123 doctors of sciences, 600 candidates of sciences. The best scientists and experts with practical experience, leading scientists from countries near and far abroad, including the USA, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Russia, were involved in the educational process. The material and technical base of the university consists of ten educational buildings of a modern type, two sports complexes, six student dormitories.
In total, the university has 457 classrooms, 130 laboratory classrooms, 49 computer classes. In the educational process, more than 1800 computers are used, of which 85% are new generation computers, 1540 computers are connected to the Internet. The university spent over 600 million tenge on the re-equipment and creation of a modern material and technical base, of which more than 300 million tenge out of them only on the purchase of the latest equipment. This year, a regional engineering laboratory of structural and biochemical materials is being created at the university (financing of 200 million tenge).
