In June 1991, the Karaganda Business College was founded, the main task of which was to train middle-level entrepreneurs for various structures operating in market conditions, to study broad business experience, acquire knowledge on the basics of market economics and effective management in a competitive environment. Successfully functioning and developing for 5 years, the business college is transformed into the Karaganda University of Business, Management and Law (KUBUP). On December 25, 1996, the University is registered as a legal entity, and on April 17, 1997, license No. 124 for the right to conduct educational activities was obtained.
In April 2002, the university passed the State certification, has an unlimited state license AA No. 0000196.
In 2008, the Karaganda University of Business, Management and Law was transformed into the International Business Academy.
In 2019, the International Business Academy, in accordance with the order No. 171 of 11/14/2019, was renamed to the ChU Boarding School named after Academician K.A. Saginova
